Looking to sell holiday gift baskets in my area how do i get started?
Visit stores you are interested in. If they do not already have gift baskets, ask to speak to the owner and let them know your plan. Ask if they would be willing to attempt to sell your baskets for whatever % you plan to give them and then tell them you will bring one by for them to look at tomorrow -- free of course.

Reply:Go to the Walter Drake website ad get some business cards made up. They are 250/ $5.99 which is a pretty good price. Look around your area for those free newspapers. You have to advertise to see them! Place an ad in one of those papers. They are usually cheap, too. I would take a few pictures of the finished baskets and print some 5x8 sized flyers up. Discribe what you can put in the baskets, like food, baby stuff, wedding ect. Then mail them to the stores you are interested in. There was a woman in the next town that stated doing that and she built that business up to the point where she could affford a shop. SHe had a lot of business from plants, doctors and corporations who would have the baskets sent to their clients. If you know how to do it this could be a great at home business. ALso there is a book out there called how to start a gift basket business. You should buy it. See if it's available on www.albitris.com or Ebay's half.com
Reply:My suggestion would be making flyers and posting them in your local food stores and maybe even in the library. Alot of people would see and contact you for more info.
