Reply:Well I'm assuming you already bought some wine to put in, lol. Aside from that how about the cork stoppers, they sell beautiful ones with pewter or glass designs on top. You could also transform it into a wine %26amp; cheese basket and fill it up with some tastey cheeses and maybe a few decorative cheese spreading knives.
Reply:wine, a pair of wine glasses and goumet chocolates. it doesnt have to be big
Reply:Cheese, crakers, toffee, biscuts, chocolate.

Have you ever ordered a gift online and sent it to someone?

Good websites for gift baskets or gifts for a guy?

I want it delivered to my boyfriend's job.

Have you ever ordered a gift online and sent it to someone?
I've done this on-line, by I try to restrict the site to a business within my city - so I start with the yellow pages 'gift baskets Tampa FLA' -

If that is not possible for you, just key in 'gift baskets' on your search engine - you will get lots there.
Reply:Hersheys.com is a wonderful site.
Reply:Yes. We recently ordered through Amazon.com and had a big basket of chocolates sent to the place where we were engaged as a thank you for their help in planning the big event! They loved it!

I need christmas gift ideas for 20 people in my office, but gift cards seem so generic. Ideas?

The limit for each gift is $20. I probably will be getting Starbucks and Jamba Juice gift cards as well, but I can't find any gift baskets that are $20 or less.

You might like to make a $20 donation to a food bank or some other charity in their name. Give them the receipt for taxation purposes with a photo of the recipient or a related subject inside a fancy envelope.
Reply:Fun bath bars are perfect for people you don't know well. You can rest assured that they will be used and enjoyed. Check out http://www.breezybeachwear.com and click on Beachy Clean. Each bath bar is hand made and costs $6.99 or less each. They also offer gift sets for a dollar or two more and will gift wrap them for you for free!

*~* Hope I helped *~*
Reply:Try to be as personal as possible. I had the same dilemna last year (for about 7 people) and I went by what each person liked. For instance, one guyed loved to golf, so I bought him a pack of golf balls from Modells. Another woman was a huge Bruce Willis fan, so I bought her the first Die Hard on DVD. My boss was a coffee fanatic, so I bought him an oversized mug and a bag of coffee beans from starbucks. One of the older ladies in the office had a bunch of cats so I got her a Petco giftcard with a cat on it.

Hope this helps. I think regardless of how much money you spend, a personal gift is more appreciated then just a general gift card to Target or whatever. Enjoy your holiday!!
Reply:You can always go to your local Dollar Tree (if you have one) or a Dollar General.Buy some mugs and some Christmas candy such as Hershey's Kisses, candy canes and so on fill up the mugs and then buy some candy cane wreaths and decorate your mug.Another good thing is to wrap them in in plastic and then using xmas colored bows tie small ornaments onto the bow.You could always go to your local Hobby Lobby and look @ all the ornaments you could make yourself that way its more personal....Gift cards here and there in some of the mugs would be kewl but totally unneccessary....

Or you could go to your Dollar store and buy some small cookie tins (WalMart also has them) and bake cookies or make some fudge or buy bags of candy and put them into the tin...

Hope That Helps Good Luck,

M.G
Reply:Try getting bottles of wine if they are the type of people that enjoy it. You can get something decent thats between $10 and $20.
Reply:Make the basket contents yourself! Fresh fruit and home baked goodies. Look on line for instant flavored coffee mixes you mix yourself. Add a small Christmas decoration or ornament from the dollar store, or make something yourself if you're creative. Nice gifts don't have to cost an arm and a leg. Sometimes simpler things mean more, especially when it's something you made.
Reply:I know a site that you can order personal gift albums that the person can pick out what they want. You pay a set price and it the album has about 50 different gifts to choose from. The person picks what they want out of it and it is sent to their house. All you have to do is pick out what album you want to get for them. A great gift idea, all of my friends and family love it.

Looking for christmas gift baskets!?

I am looking to buy 2 nice dog gist baskets of treats for my 2 dogs, loking to spend 40-60 dollars, any ideas???

Looking for christmas gift baskets!?
I agree. Making your own will probably be more cost effective, and you get to put things in there that you'd like to see in the gift basket. I would buy a variety of trial sized treats and buy a few toys and split them up between the two baskets. I would buy new bowls and use those as a basket and get plastic wrap and a bow to hold the whole thing together. Use a dog bone as a bow.
Reply:pet store? dog magazines? why dont you just buy them like,a sweater or something or a toy? it cost less, and it lasts longer. just get them that and trust me,they will like it alot better. :P
Reply:Do your own. It would be more fun!
Reply:I know the lady personal that makes these. There are tons of baskets here and all are great. And shes super nice if there is any problem.

Reply:I agree that making your own is the best bet. When you buy pre-made baskets in your price range, the contents are most likely going to be cheaply made and not very nutritious and the cheaply made toys can be dangerous to your pet. You can find the baskets at your local dollar store and then just visit your local favorite pet store to get the goodies. Alot of times you can find cheap or even free samples of treats. I would rather spend a few extra bucks on chew toys to make sure they will not harm my dog if some of it is ingested and the toys that come in some of those baskets are ridiculous. You can also look on the Internet for recipes on how to make your own natural dog treats at home and if you are a crafty person, you can even make the toys yourself. Good Luck!!
Reply:Why not just buy your dog some treats and donate the rest of the money to the local shelter or rescue who could use the money?

That is a lot of money to spend on baskets...
Reply:You will probably not find one for that price range. I have looked myself and found most start at $80 for anything. I made my own for about that price and he loved it.

What the best size of Plastic Wrap to use for wraping gift baskets?

.................

What the best size of Plastic Wrap to use for wraping gift baskets?
The kind of plastic you need is called shrink wrap. You place the basket in the center, gather the sides up and secure at the top. The wrap is then shrunk to tightly enclose the basket. You use a crafters heat gun, the type used in scrap booking, to accomplish this. The shrink wrap is available in the larger craft stores.and I believe it is 24" wide. You can also get a larger 100' or 500' long X 24" or 36" wide at www.dickblick.com. They call it shrink film.
Reply:Good answer Pat!, but you can also use a regular hair dryer...just be careful! :)

stuffed animals, small toys, "flower girl" tshirts, jewelry box, crayons/markers, coloring book (wedding theme if you can find one), hair stuff, fake "make up" set

I got my flower girl a necklace to wear for the wedding- it doesn't have to be expensive

Do pretty flipflops (walmart and add rhinestones yourself), nail polish (the kid version that can peel off), kid makeup, coloring books, crayons, hair bows, gift cards for ice cream/mcdonalds, maybe even a WalMart or Target gift card, so they feel like "grown-ups" and can decide how they want to spend their money........

Gotta include a pizza gift card, movie theater tickets or movie rental, microwave butter popcorn, variety of different seasoning shakers, fave drinks or water, variety of candies, a candle and lap blanket (for romance), mini photo album (you can find them at dollar stores) include your fav pictures and memorabilia (ticket stubs etc). Add a card and your set! He's definitely going to love you for being so thoughtful.
Reply:twizzlers and swedish fish :) and popcorn of course

~Let your heart love cause somebody special loves you~
Reply:what about crackers, lunch meat and cheese, cheese spread and crackers, finger sandwiches, a bottle of wine or your favorite liquor, strawberries if there in season where you are and maybe melted chocolate to dip them in. and always popcorn and candy. hope it is helpful.
Reply:Yep, like the others are saying. However let me see if I can be different. By the way, Bed, Bath %26amp; Beyond has a gift set already set up. But it's more fun doing your own.

Customized movie basket, let's see, hmmmmmmm how about starting a Movie Journal where you all can write notes about how you liked the movie, why you would recommend it to someone else, why you would see it again. Have someone take a picture of you and your loved one watching the movie and post it on a blog page and in your Movie Journal

Also so purchase some movie posters of y'alls favorite movies.
Reply:Chocolate, chocolate covered raisins,Cinnamon treats, and peanut butter cups popcorn!
Reply:an assortment of popcorn fiddle faddle is cheap but good , you can also get an assortment of candies(chocolates, gummi bears) pretzels and maybe if u can get copies of some of your old movie stubs that you both shared together, clip them out, (so u can save the originals for scrapbooks) and sorta mix them up in there. sorta cheesey but hey, its different.....
Reply:popcorn, chips and dip, buffalo wings, sodas...lots of junk food

Does Georgia law allow gift basket business to obtain a liquor license?

I am working on a project for college.

I need to examine the following: legal, social and economical issues that will face my business (gift baskets).

Does Georgia law allow gift basket business to obtain a liquor license?
Hello,

You need to call the city Alcohol and Tobacco Licensing Department in the area you would be licensed to do business in, first. Here are some places you can check-out to answer your questions:
Reply:If you are selling wine or such in your gift baskets then yes... even if you are giving away wine and such yu must have a liq. lic. if it is done in a certain volume....
Reply:What I heard was in any state, liquor license is extremely difficult and expensive to obtain. For you business (your project), it may not make sense to do so. Also if your basket contains wine, you may not be able to send it to certain states. (You need to check each state law).

Does anybody owns a home based online gift basket business? how did you start out and how is it now?

do you have a businss license and do you buy from a whole saler or local stores. thanks advance!

Does anybody owns a home based online gift basket business? how did you start out and how is it now?
I have an acquaintance who owned such a business. It did okay but not what she wanted. After two or three years she sold it. I think it would have succeeded if she would have given it more time. I believe she got most of her product from wholesalers. She had a lot of packaging and products specially made for her company.

No business license is required here in Nebr. You should speak with an attorney and an accountant before starting any type of business to make sure you are complying with all rules and aren't paying to much in taxes.

What should i put in a valentines gift basket for my boyfriend of 2 years?

Im going to put together a giftbasket for valentines day for my boyfriend, i have some ideas what to put in it, but any ideas? Please HELP! :)

What should i put in a valentines gift basket for my boyfriend of 2 years?
OK very cheesy but I did it for my guy at the time and he was 27 and absolutely loved it. I went to Wal-Mart and bought a cheap valentine scrap book kit with lots of stickers and little love trinkets ($4.00), in the craft section there are little wooden boxes with cute little buckles to close it ($2.00 or less), then I got glitter glue pens to decorate the box ($4.00).

I decorated the box with the pens ( I wrote our initials on the top and a heart with a arrow through it) then cut little pieces of paper with messages about the things we have shared and cute messages about the things I love about him etc, and sealed each one with the stickers from the scrap book. I wrapped it in a little box, then got a bigger box and wrapped it in there then I took a big box and filled it with tissue paper that was sprayed with the perfume he loves the best on me then wrapped it!

I think it's just enough of what you need, not expensive at all and very thoughtful. I hope I gave you a good idea.... you can always add this gift with something else if you want to give more. There's not even a card necessary for this gift!
Reply:nice selection
Reply:how about a iou gift book for things like cooking dinners and massages and taking care of his needs when he wants it
Reply:Basically what I'm doing is that I'm giving him a memory box with some stuff I put together for him. I also made him a really nice card with a heartfelt poem that I wrote. I made him a poem book with pictures I have taken as well. : } I'm doing all this stuff because Valentine's is our first anniversary. ♥

What is a good gift to give someone who has invited you to join them on vacation?

My best friend from college invited me on an all-expense paid vacation with her family to Palm Beach, FL. I want to get them a gift and/or make them a gift basket. Any good ideas?

What is a good gift to give someone who has invited you to join them on vacation?
maybe one night, maybe the first night there, treat everyone to dinner.

or, because you said it was all paid for already, sunblock helps.

but really. if she has a little brother, maybe he wants a boogie board. a sister might want a snorkel. the parents might want some tropical looking glasses for some iced tea by the pool. all these things you can get like, at a wal mart.

by personalizing the gifts, you add a little extra care and thought.
Reply:I've stayed with friends while on vacation. When I arrive, I say pick a night and I'll take everyone to dinner.I know my hosts always enjoyed that.I know you said it was all paid for, but your offering to buy them a meal would be a nice thank you.

P.S. McDonald's or Burger King doesn't count. LOL
Reply:I think an ideal gift (especially if there is going to be any driving involved) would be some sort of roadside emergency kit and/or a first-aid kit. As for the gift basket, take into account the number of people in the family, whether or not anyone has food allergies, and make up a basket with the appropriate amount of non-messy%26amp;easy to eat snack assortment you think they would like. Include also some wet-wipes and napkins!
Reply:Gift basket is good. Give it after the trip.
Reply:Gosh, how nice of them! I'm sure anything would be appreciated. Something creative you could do would be to let them know you will be taking pictures, saving tickets/brochures/postcards, etc., and scrapbooking the entire vacation for them. Have a great time!
Reply:A wine basket. They sound like fancy people.
Reply:how about a cut sun hat and sun glasses!
Reply:this is a really cool bonding event for you and your friend and her family - maybe it would be a good idea for you to be documentation officer. This is nothing new but Polaroid cams would come in handy: when you get to your vacation spot, a lot space for a small bulletin board that will also serve as your scrapbook. make memories, all through out the vacation especially snapshots of your arrival at your vacation spot, your first breakfast/dinner/supper/party/dip in the water, etc. it's up to you if you want to show them all the pictures at one go or give them a more elaborate collection at the end of your trip.

Bring the dvdcam so you can make a dvd out of your experience. Have you and your best friend make a little diddy in the end thanking her family for the experience.

Maybe you can provide the special spf.

You might also want to make each of your hosts gift beach bags, complete with ready-to-use towels (hopefully you have time to launder them and but all these little gifts in individual bags), beach footwear, little bottles of sun-protect lotion, maybe a bottle of water for rehydration, sunglasses, lip-balm with sun-protect, the whole she-bang.

I don't know if this will fly with your hosts or with you personally, but those portable karaoke machines, you might enjoy them. I personally don't like karaoke but ask your best friend about it.

Also, get your best friend something special.

Have a rockin' good time and remember to slather on spf.
Reply:the scrapbook idea is good, I would go with that but you could also get them a gift basket to give them before hand, this would be fairly cheap but useful, just pack it full of those things that often get forgotten: tyonal/asprin, sunblock, wet ones, disposable camara, chapsticks with sunblock, aloe gel, if the family isnt to big you could also put in things like flip-flops, beach towels (these can both be bought at walmart or the dollar store for cheap) if you plan on spending alot of time at the beach maybe a couple good books or a battery operated radio, a deck of cards, if there are little kids how about coloring books and crayons, water toys (squirt guns, squshiy balls, sand toys) sun glasses. if you need more ideas feel free to email me, Just give me an idea of what type of basket you want to do or what you are going to be doing most of the time, are u driving or flying? how many ppl and if there are kids or not and the age ranges and I can give you a list of things to put in the basket and where you can get them for cheap. hope this helps
Reply:I really like the scrapbooking idea and small gifts too. One other thing you may want to think about is taking your own camera and catch some great shots of the family together. Get a great frame or photo album, decorate it accordingly with things from the vacation like shells, sand, drink umbrellas, knick knacks, etc. When you give it to them, along with a thank you card, they will love it! I know I would!

What are the best things to put in a gift basket for expecting mothers?

Ideas so far are books (such as What to Expect When You're Expecting) and a foot massager.

What are the best things to put in a gift basket for expecting mothers?
Lotions %26amp; Bubble baths are good. I would also throw in maybe one of those Tide stain remover pens - they work wonders for spit up and other various spills, lol. Educational books are good too, but I would throw in a funny one - like Belly Laughs by Jenny Macarthy (spelling?), which is pretty humorous for a nervous pregnant woman. Also, maybe some homemade coupons for various things, such as a free night of babysitting or a free homecooked meal.

Well, I hope I helped! :)
Reply:What about coupons/gift cards for delivery pizza?? Bet that will come in handy!!
Reply:Receiving blankets. You can go through a dozen in a day, if you have a good spitter-upper.
Reply:Lotions for her skin, comfortable slippers, little snacks like jelly beans or chocolate covered peanuts or raisins, a subscription to a Parenting magazine or Pregnancy magazine (depending on how far along she is), a journal and pretty pen to write with.
Reply:Shower gels and bubble baths for her to use after the baby is born of course.. Gift certificates to a spa or hair salon... Refreshing candles... Things like that..
Reply:one thing i learned. clothe, but not just newborn clothe, babies out grow clothe quick. trying getting 3 6 months sizes.
Reply:you could put in some nice bubble bath, lotion, foot soaking salts and foot cream.

maybe herbal tea and a nice mug?

what about those books you can get from places like hallmark or other card shops/bookstores, where there are a whole bunch of questions in it and the mother answers the questions. it's a gift to give the kid when he/she is older?

a cd of relaxing music?
Reply:Gift certificate for Babies R Us, Also one for a local bookstore. Along with a fresh friut basket YUM! Want my address? lol!
Reply:How about some relaxing Cd's that she could listen to. Then add some candles and a maybe some body lotion to help with stretch marks.

I need to find a reputable website to buy baskets cheap to assemble my own gift baskets.?

Unless you plan on making very small gift baskets, the dollar store won't do. Do you have a traders license? If you do, you can get wholesale baskets everywhere on line. If you don't, wait until Michael's or A.C.Moores have them on sale for 40% off. You don't want your product going out in an inferior basket. It wouldn't reflect very well on your business.

I'm not sure where online, but have you tried your local dollar store? Some of the Dollar Trees usually have some decent ones.

What is a good way to market my gift store?

I have a gift basket and gift store but no traffic, I don't know if it's my site appearance as well but I need help. I know the market is saturated and hard times are here but I still am trying.

What is a good way to market my gift store?
You already know the problem. Market saturation.

If I made a list of the several hundred calls I received in 2007 for SEO work, gift baskets would appear probably 30 times! (Personalized products were probably the only one with more - another hyper saturated market.)

I recommend you re-invent your business. Do something amazing and remarkable. Make something irresistible. Yep, it's hard - that's what makes it valuable.

I get a lot of my ideas from "The Dip" - a book by Seth Godin that I highly recommend (linked below.)

I say these things because I want everyone to be successful.. not just cope. Life is too short.

Any ideas for a big sister gift basket?

We have a 7 year old daughter and are expecting another girl in June. I wanted to have a balloon boquet with a gift basket sent to our 7 year old when her sister is born. I have a big sister charm for her bracelet and I am going to order a big sister t-shirt, but I thought I should add some other things as well. Maybe some things that aren't related to the baby. Any ideas?

The one thing that came to my mind to add would be get her something that she can do with you and her father, maybe seperately so that she can some alon time with each of you to know that she alone is still very important. MAybe tickets to the circus, or the zoo, or a concert. Maybe an art class for parents and children. Something to have her parents to herself for abit because I'm sure alot of focus will be on the new addition and this will put some on her aswell. Congrats on the new liitle one and again this is a GREAT idea!
Reply:I gave my stepdaughter a cabbage patch doll at my baby shower and when my son was born, my husband bought her a fishing pole and took her fishing before my son and I got home from the hospital.

I would suggest maybe a new box of crayons and a couple coloring books, some sticker sheets, a new book.
Reply:not things for baby, special things for her special qualities, what a wonderful idea, you are a great mom,
Reply:anything that she's into. For instance if she's into arts and crafts get her some little arts and crafts things. Just throw together a basket with the stuff that she enjoys doing.
Reply:How about a cute stuffed animal. Good luck and congratulations:)
Reply:dolls toys whatever she likes [[congrats!]]
Reply:go to build-a-bear give her a gift card in the basket and then take her before the baby is born so she can pick it out
Reply:a picture frame that says sisters would be cute

How about some movies/popcorn/candy for movie night when you are busy with the baby. Also a coupon for a mommy and me day for when your up to it..

Congrats...by the way great idea!
Reply:i dont know if you have something like this where you are from but there is a company called A Pink Gorrilla. check out the website

www.apinkgorilla.com
Reply:First of all Congratulations!!! If you don't want it to be related to the baby,, girls always love flowers, maybe some carnations. How about a cute picture frame to put a new pic of her and the baby in? Chocolate? I would celebrate the birth of the baby with your 7 yr.old and have her participate.... I think giving her a gift basket is a great idea,,, but I personally would have gift related to the baby more so than not. You want her to feel she's a part of the celebration ,,not a celebration for her necessarily. Love the big sis charm bracelet and the shirt!!!
Reply:Wouldn't it be great if the basket was a little more useful to her, too? What if you fill a new purse with a few things. My niece loves her little pink Vera Bradley. She feels so grown up! Also, you could add something that would be special to her and her sister later. I love the picture frame idea ... you could get one with "Sisters" written on it and she could put her first visit pic holding little sis in it.

Birthday gift basket theme ideas for my mom?

I am thinking about making a themed gift basket for my mom for her birthday and the only two ideas I have came up with are a pamper yourself basket or a movie night basket. I have some ideas of what to put into each, but just looking for other ideas from you guys on what could go into each basket and also what other basket ideas do you have or have personally done or recieved! Thanks so much

Birthday gift basket theme ideas for my mom?
I just did a movie basket for my cousin. I put in about 3 dvd's. A bowl that said popcorn... 3 bags of popcorn, 3 movie sized treats, 3 of her favorite drinks. I had a bunch of stuff in there all geared to relaxing at home and watching a movie, she really loved it.
Reply:For the movie night, you could get the plastic popcorn container for the basket. Fill it with:

Movie gift card

Favorite Candy

Popcorn

Movie

For the pamper me:

Candles

Loufa (wash puff)

Shower Gel

Lotion

Fingernail polish

Bath salts or fizz

You could do a dinner basket:

buy a cute plate, bowl, cup

then you could buy premade food

such as: cheeseball, chocolate covered strawberries, salad, soup, and so on

Or you could make it yourself

It would just treat her to a nice dinner without cooking
Reply:I did the movie night basket for my sister once. I got a big bowl (for the popcorn) and a variety of popcorn toppings, her favorite movie and a 6 month GC to Netflix and wrapped it up with a comfy throw blanket with a bow. She still raves about it!
Reply:Well, whatever you may decide to get in the end, think of including a handmade portrait or painting of something she may like, etc. Just have the photos or pictures sent to the professional artists at http://www.paintyourlife.com and they will work wonders out of them. You will like it, and so will your friend too, I bet. The service is fast and fairly priced.

They also have a studio for oil paintings reproductions. If you are looking for an affordable gift urgently, you can take a look at their 'stock on sale' at http://www.oil-paintings-reproductions.c...
Reply:1. Cooking stuff, not just ingredients, but a small cookbook, whisk, pretty set of butter knives etc.

2. Random selection of thing (ie: no real purpose) but with a themed pattern, eg: cows (this can include anything that's black and white) or cats and dogs, or whatever she really loves.

3. Crafts, to supplement a sewing kit, with one of those embroidery kits that contains all the bits she'll need, plus additional things like pincushions, bundles of quilt patches, etc.

4. I like the other two ideas you had - esp. the pamper yourself one. I did two of these in the past year; my Mum got one of them and loved it!
Reply:It should be tailored to what you know your mom likes. If she enjoys tea, get some nice teas and special kinds of honey--add a cute mug or teacup. If she enjoys crossword puzzles, for example, add a small book of those in there.

Does she do crafts, like scrapbooking? Get a bunch of cute supplies for that. Music? CDs, an i-tunes gift card, if she's into that.

Yes, a pampering basket is a good idea as well, with nice creams and lotions, maybe a gift certificate for a manicure/pedicure, but only if she would actually go. (My mom never would.) Again, a book by a favorite author would be a nice addition to that kind of basket. If she enjoys cooking, go to a store like Williams-Sonoma and get some cute gadets and special sauces and pasta, etc. Add a cookbook by a favorite TV chef.

You know your mom better than anyone, and you know what she likes. The best gifts are the ones that say, "I know who you are, and I took the time to think about you and what you would like." She will be thrilled.
Reply:You could do a fruit basket or a home made food basket even. You could do a basket based on a hobby of your mum's or i think the movie idea is a great idea and i think you should do that.

You could combine both ideas and do a night in basket with bath salts and face masks and also movie to watch and then you could include slippers or something as well.

My friend did a media basket including magazines, movies, Cd's, books and loads of other stuff and my friends have often done sweet baskets but they re probably not appropriate for n adult. Good luck though and i hope your mum likes it.
Reply:pamper yourself: gift certificate for a massage. Her favorite bath soaps, scrubs, eye masque, nail polish etc.

movies: a favorite movie she doesn't already have, her favorite candy, soda and some heated slippers.

Does she like to garden, play golf? Does she like Betty boop etc.
Reply:I’ll have to suggest www.creanta.com

They do great and affordable hand made paintings from your favorite photograph. What I liked of them is that they at reeeeaally good at capturing the physical likeness. I was very impressed with the results. In addition to portrait paintings they also do paintings of pets, landscapes and anything that means something to you (like your first car, favorite vacation spot, etc). They’re the nicest people… because I was late with her gift they even hand made a custom card to notify my mother that a special gift was coming her way. I highly recommend them.

Best wishes!!

I am making my best friend a gift basket of "goodie" for Christmas, what should I put in it?
The most requested out of my gift baskets: Take 2 ritz crackers and peanutbutter and make a sandwich. Melt chocolate in a double boiler or microwave and dip the sandwich in it. Put in freezer to set. Just to let you know how popular these are with friends and family, I'm making 26 dozen this holiday!

Homemade hot chocolate mix

Wine

Flavored Coffee's

Coffee Mug

Chocolate spoons (the ones you mix in coffee or tea)

Gift Certificate for a spa

Homemade gift cert. for babysitting (if she has kids)
Reply:try this thing:

ingredients:

1 1/4 cups salted shelled pistachios (not dyed red)

3/4 cup sugar

6 tablespoons all-purpose flour

5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly

2 tablespoons Grand Marnier or other orange liqueur

1 teaspoon finely grated fresh orange zest

2 tablespoons fresh orange juice

Special equipment: parchment paper

procedure:

Pulse pistachios and sugar together in a food processor until nuts are finely chopped (but not ground), then stir together with remaining ingredients in a bowl. Spread dough in a 12-inch-long strip on a large sheet of plastic wrap and, starting with a long side, roll up dough in plastic wrap (dough will be very soft). Chill dough on a baking sheet until firm but still malleable, about 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

Roll dough into a 15- by 1-inch log, using plastic wrap as an aid. Halve log crosswise and chill halves, wrapped in plastic wrap, until firm, about 3 hours.

Cut 1 half crosswise into 1/8-inch-thick slices with a serrated knife and arrange about 2 inches apart on 2 parchment-lined large baking sheets. Flatten each cookie into a 1 1/2-inch round with the back of a fork or spoon, dipping fork in water and shaking off excess for each cookie.

Bake in upper and lower thirds of oven, switching position of sheets halfway through baking, until golden, 8 to 10 minutes total. Cool cookies on sheets 5 minutes, then transfer with a metal spatula to racks to cool completely. Make more cookies with remaining dough on cooled baking sheets (line sheets with clean parchment).

Reply:make a homemade hot chocolate mix, and bag it and display the bag in a cute christmas mug. Also, think about maybe adding a candle, or a nice bottle of wine, and a couple of glasses. You could also add the ingredients for one of your items, such as your peppermint bark, so that they can enjoy your bark, and then have everything they need to make it for themselves. Also, you might want to add a gift card to a good restaurant to allow the person and nice night out. Hope this helps!!

PS...the person above me has a great idea. The Ritz crackers with peanut butter and chocolate are excellent. My grandmother made some the other day and we couldn't get enough of them!!
Reply:I'm not sure if you are going for a chocolate or food theme or simply just anything that classifies as a 'goodie'. If you don't want everything to be homemade, below are some chocolate suggestions. Also, not all of the ideas would be suitable for both sexes.

If you want chocolate themed items, consider things that are chocolatey, but not necessarily food. There are chocolate candles, chocolate shampoos, chocolate massage oils, even chocolate perfume!

Unusual chocolate foodie gifts are chocolate liqueurs or chocolate-dipped wine bottles. Chocolate-covered coffee beans are divine! They can be bought at Wal-mart. Organic ones in specialty stores such as Wild Oats are more expensive, but worth it.

Inexpensive chocolate themed gifts are pretty easy to find. Palm's Cocoa Butter is available in any drugstore and has a great cocoa scent. Dove dark chocolates are inexpensive but don't taste like it. Inexpensive chocolate lip balms or lip glosses are available at most stores.

If you want more chocolate gift ideas or information on where to find some of the ideas mentioned, here is an article: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article...
Reply:Oh Yeh....check out Tastefully Simple. They have the best stuff for gift baskets! Truffle Fudge Brownie Mix, Creamy Caramel Sauce, Almond Pound Cake Mix, Raspberry Divine Dessert Sauce. So many good and all natrual foods! You can make the baked goods yourself or put the box in the basket.

Check it out and Good luck!!
Reply:how about some chocolate covered pretzels

all that good stuff

When buying gift baskets, what do you initially look for???

I usually try to buy useful baskets as opposed to fruit, or candy. Things like bath products, baby items, school supplies....items for whatever the person you are shopping for needs. Also I like a gift basket where the receiver can reuse the basket. Sometimes it worth it to spend a bit more on a really nice basket. I have reused many of the baskets given to me in the past.

When buying gift baskets, what do you initially look for???
i always make them, they need to be specific to the person they are for.
Reply:well candy,maybe a stuffed animal.a card.probaly the basket.lol.also maybe a gift card.

What should you do when a "free-with-purchase gift" is not shipped?

I ordered an a gift basket for my mother for her birthday. The items I selected and paid for were included in the gift basket; however a few of the items that were supposed to be included with every shipment were not there. These were small and insignificant items, but would have made the gift basket that much more special. Should I contact the company and try to get them to ship them or just let it pass because they were technically "freebies"?

What should you do when a "free-with-purchase gift" is not shipped?
Call the company and explain that you never received the free gifts with your order and ask them when you can expect them to arrive. Most definitely keep after them until you get them. You can bet they really were not free with the price of the basket and the shipping charge so why let them keep something you already paid for.
Reply:definitely contact them %26amp; let them know you're not happy - they may wind up sending you a coupon or something to keep you happy if nothing else.
Reply:I definitely think that you should contact the company to get the free with purchase gift... don't let it pass by that's totally not cool. I would be mad if i was in your position.
Reply:Hi there! I'd definitely call the company and ask for them. It doesn't matter if it's small or big items but it should be there so you have every right to ask for them.

Jon uses 7 and a half inches of ribbon on each basket how many gift baskets could she make with 150 ribbon?

20 baskets

150/7.5

=20

Jon uses 7 and a half inches of ribbon on each basket how many gift baskets could she make with 150 ribbon?
if that is 150 inches.. well then just divide 150 by 7.5

which = 20 baskets
Reply:Baskets = 7.5 inches divided by 150 ribbons

Baskets = 20
Reply:15 inches would then be 2 baskets. So 150 inches on ribbon would be 20 baskets.

How to do:

Divide 7.5 (7 and a half) by 150 to get 20!
Reply:20 baskets........... 150 divided by 7.5 inches.......... The same as 1500 divided by 75........... That gives you the answer if you need to work it out

Why do you celebrate Easter with eggs, bunnies and gift baskets for kids?

The egg is SYMBOLIC toward the RESURRECTION, the NEW LIFE in CHRIST. Egg=fertile.

The bunny is SYMBOLIC of purity. White=purity, bunny could also be interpreted as reproduction as in re-birth (resurrection).

The gift basket is SYMBOLIC that Mary carried Jesus in her womb (basket) and JESUS was a GIFT to humanity.

Therefore we collect the EGGS and place them in the Basket and give them as GIFTS to our children, so that they may be blessed in Christ.

You grow wise with age, and learn the symbolisms--or just call me a genius-wink wink.

Good Luck and Prosper...;*!*;...

Why do you celebrate Easter with eggs, bunnies and gift baskets for kids?
I have to say, you got that. Very accurate Report It

Reply:look it up in the encyclopedia and you will get a very different answer! Report It

Reply:It's a pagan ritual, actually, and you just made that stuff up or believed a lie. Idiot. Report It

Reply:It gives the stores somehthing to sell
Reply:Because people would rather have a fake tradition than to celebrate the true meaning.
Reply:Jesus dyed for us.
Reply:My family doesnt. It's not scriptural to do so. Easter is about the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus...not a rabbit and eggs that come from pagan beliefs pertaining to a goddess of fertility.
Reply:Tradition! Also, these are some symbols of the new season-Spring.
Reply:It all has nothing to do with Jesus' death. It's pagan rituals that rob the true meaning of Jesus' death. It's about spending money on things that aren't in accordance to bible teachings. Where in the bible does it say: to make god happy buy eggs, paint them, hide them and let little children find them, then you will be with me in paradise. Parents do what they were taught by their parents even if it doesn't make sense. Kids are not being taught the true meaning of things nowadays, it's all about toys, candy and nice clothing. "me me me me".
Reply:I believe everyone should remember the real meaning of Easter. Yet, why do we celebrate Christmas with Santa Clause? I think as long as you know what the true meanings of the holidays are, it is ok to have a little fun with pretend fuzzy bunnies and fat men in red suits. Aside from everything else, people love candy. Haha.
Reply:People lost the essence of what Easter is really about by turning it into a money making holiday. I would say all holidays have turned to this. Not surprising in this country though. It's all about making as much as you can. There are few though that still let the meaning of the holiday stay with them.
Reply:It is celebrating the coming of spring- new things getting born.... but it wouldnt have quite the same effect if you celebrated the new hatch of mosquitos or threw grass in peoples faces.

Putting a gift basket together for my friend who is due this Tuesday, can u help me think of more gift items?

I am making the gift basket just for HER, no baby stuff in it. She can't take a bath for 6 weeks afterward, so there is no bath stuff. So far I got slippers, pedicure stuff, nail polish, scented powder, face mask cream, shower gel, loofa.....

I am trying to think of more things to put in it for her, but I can't think of anything else. I have already spent about $40, and I can't really spend much more. I just want to put a few more things in there to fill the basket.

Any ideas?

Great DVDs for her to watch on those long nights

A great throw

Paper plates and cups and plastic tableware (those first few weeks will be all about NOT cleaning if at all possible!!)
Reply:I have an idea that is free.

Start a Baby Memory Book for her at iMemoryBook. It is free to start right now and she will love it.
Reply:How about an inexpensive little massage tool? They're only a couple bucks at the store. And a couple little scent sprays, yet only a couple bucks. Write her a note and tell her you think she'll be a great mom. I'm sure the note will mean just as much, if not more, than all the little items in the basket. Also, great idea. You are a good friend. :)

Do you have any advice to give in starting a new gift boutique business?

My sister and I are considering starting up a new venture and eventually opening up our own business. We both, for years, have been crafty and creative and she has her own line of bath products and I have my line of gift baskets and gifts in a jar. Do you have any advice or tips you might want to share? We are in the Central Valley in California and would have even thought about more or less Internet selling to begin with, but obviously we are pretty new to the retail selling part outside of bazaars and boutiques both locally as well as those we travel to. Any thoughts? Thank you much!

Do you have any advice to give in starting a new gift boutique business?
Do lots of homework into finding the right shop and the legalities of forming a partnership, etc. If you can do it, get a job in a boutique part time to see how things work and don't work. I made the mistake of starting a business without fully researching the market, and I lost a lot of money. Make sure that you have enough capital that you are willing to lose for a year. Sometimes a business takes time to get off the ground. But you have to be willing to lose that capital if the business does not get anywhere.

You might consider working from your garage and selling in a home shop via ebay, your own web site or Amazon.com. You would have a minimum overhead and could then build up a clientele.

I wish you lots of luck and enjoyment from your venture.

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons baking powder

3 1/2 to 4 cups flour

bag of almond slivers

cinnamon

Directions Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs and vanilla, and beat until fluffy. Mix dry ingredients together and beat into batter until a soft dough forms. Refrigerate several hours.

Roll dough very thin and cut into little ghostly triangle shapes. Brush each cookie top with egg whites and add two tiny almond slivers for eyes then sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes on greased cookie sheets. Makes 4 or 5 dozen cookies.

What would you want in a guest gift basket?

I'm having a destination wedding in Cancun and I want to make gift baskets for all of my guests for coming so far. I have a few ideas so far: tequila, shot glasses, cameras, travel-size first aid kits w/plenty of pepto for the mexican food, sunblock, lip balm. Any suggestions would help, especially from guys.

What would you want in a guest gift basket?
I don't know if I'd go as far as putting in the Tequilla...that could get expensive, depending on how many guests you were having.

A few maps of the area would be a good idea...with places of interest highlighted, in case your guests wanted to go sightseeing on their own.

Bottles of water wouldn't hurt either...wouldn't want dehydrated guests!!

You could also try to put in soe local favorites...cookies or snacks that are found in Cancun.
Reply:Perhaps some chocolates and/or cheese and crackers so they have something to snack on when they first arrive at the hotel. You can get individual servings of cheese in wax so that it doesn't go bad so fast. I went to a wedding where they had snacks and wine in the gift baskets at the hotel. It was great to have something to munch on after traveling.
Reply:a round trip ticket to and from australia, one bottle of champagne,

my son and my daughter, a title of ownership for a house and lot,

a key for a junior pajero.
Reply:Hand sanitizer, moist towelettes, condoms, pesos to tip the hotel housekeeper so she doesn't steal your luggage...
Reply:That's very generous of you, how about a Mexican hat, and condoms (novelty if need be). Or a voucher for an activity at the hotel, like windsurfing, sailing, scuba diving.
Reply:I wouldn't have put Tequila in the baskets but that's just me.

It sounds like you've got some other nice stuff in there - I think you're good.
Reply:picture frames (they could put their pics form the wedding or just from being in cancun in it)

Reply:Wine, wine glasses and don't forget the cork screw!

What is the history of gift baskets?

Maybe it goes back to the three wise men?

How to make a gift basket?

I want to make my mil a gift basket for christmas. She loves wine so I though I would make it centered around wine. How do I make everything stay put in the basket and what are some ideas to put in it besides wine?

How to make a gift basket?
All the other people have the right idea on things to go with the wine. Just wanted to let you know. If received gift baskets with a glue dot on the bottom of some items to hold them down.
Reply:You could get a great basket, some shredded paper, get some glasses, maybe a cork screw, get something she likes that goes well with wine, maybe some cheeses, grapes, fruits, etc.

then when you put it all together get the srink wrap stuff. You can find it at walmart or target or even dollar stores sometimes. Then just blowdry it so it pulls tight and everything will stay in place. It will hold it.
Reply:Perhaps a book about wine making? Some grapes. SOme wine glasses. Perhaps a nice cheese.

Pack it with some nice straw or similar to keep it in place and still be quite decorative.
Reply:go to the post office or a ups store and they will help you to pack it so the stuff doesn't move...besides you have to get special permission to mail alcohol i believe...as far as ideas for the basket if it is just for her add things that she can pamper herself with like bubble bath, stuff to do a mani and pedi...that was what i did for a friend of mine
Reply:Buy a decent sized basket, take that stirofoam popcorn stuff fill a little more than half of basket, then get some sort of paper stuffing at a craft store its like shreaded colored paper, fill rest of basket you should place wine in middle or bak, you can include a wine opener maybe cheese and crackers or whatever gtoes with the wine.

Are there any items used to make a gift basket that can come from recycled products?

I'm starting a business and trying to make it a "green" business. I'm trying to find out if there are any of the products used to make these baskets that can come from recycled products.

Are there any items used to make a gift basket that can come from recycled products?
I don't know if you mean to buy products with recycled products in them, or that you'd use recycled products to make baskets. If it's the latter, you could make rag baskets, or wrap fabric around braided rope.

I need ideas for "Family Fun Night" themed gift baskets?

To start with, each family will get a Scene It DVD game. After that, I'm stumped as to what else to put in the basket???!!!! I was thinking of team T-shirts (Blue/Red) to wear while playing the game. I need some ideas!!

I need ideas for "Family Fun Night" themed gift baskets?
Crayons and color books. Little containers of play doh.
Reply:What a cool idea! How about a couple of decks of playing cards? A cribbage board? A few travel-size board games? Some extra dice (you know they always get lost with kids around)? The team shirts is a neat idea. Maybe some assorted healthier snacks like microwave popcorn packets that everyone can share? Hope this gives you some ideas!!
Reply:Monopoly
Reply:how about... a gift card for blockbuster enough for 1 rental and popcorn. the game uno, books for story time, or mad libs
Reply:Definatly t-shirts (well I like the idea!). perheps some parcels. one has a crunchie bar and the others have jelly beans. give them out randomly and take it in turns to unwrap the parcel for a bit of fun. Bags of popcorn are a must. And marshmallows (if you like popcorn and marshmllows).Teddy bears perhaps (I think my imagination just broke!). just add in whatever everyone likes. I wish you good luck on having a great "Family fun night"! :)
Reply:This is a great idea!!! I love it!!!

stuff to put into the basket:

Popcorn, candy, pretzels, soda, camera

Themed gift baskets?

What movie would go along with a Italian themed gift basket or what about for a Mexican food themed basket?

Or any ideas for an Italian or Mexican inspired game to go into the gift basket?

Themed gift baskets?
A Walk in The Clouds with Keaneu Reeves for Mexican. Godfather Series for Italian.

Hope that helps
Reply:Nacho Libre...lol

My brother and best friends are going on a cruise next week. What is the best wayto send a gift basket t?
www.FTD.com is the way to go. I've used them many times (to and from Hawaii). Any FTD florist will know how to get thier product to the proper ship at the proper time, it's thier business. Besides, FTD gaurantee's it's service/network.
Reply:www.FTD.com...we have them here in Hawaii!!
Reply:Hi, We just got back from a cruise, You can order one from the Cruise ship and they will set it up in the state room, just contact the Cruise line on line, or by phone you will need the name of the Ship they are on, and tell them what you want and the day they arrive on the ship there will be a GREAT GIFT BASKET WELCOMING them.

Specialty (gift Baskets) shops?

Specialty (gift Baskets) shops?
Send a small gift basket addressed to the assistant to the senior partner of....every other law firm in your phone book. So, if the firm is named "smith, smith and jones attorneys at law" you address the basket to THE ASSISTANT TO ATTY SMITH. Let them fight out which smith it was sent to!

Make sure you only have one brief letter of introduction folded witrh infor facin out, a brochure stlye, Announcing a new local business with YOU and YOUR needs in mind......located...open...fax phone and email address.....price list available.....when you don't have time to shop but you need to show you care like you have time for nothing else......

several cards. a coupon for a little off AND a pair of slippers, packs of cocoa and coffee and chocolate, a muffin or a cookie sample but keep it chocolate or coffee flavored and lots of curly ribbons to make it look rich.

Have it delivered by someone other than yourself, looking professional and carrying a clipboard. I know it sounds stupid but this works.

It starts a buzz in a close knit community and puts your card, your sample product in the hands of people who can afford it and have NO time to shop.

You can't do this all at once but maybe you set a total limit of promos a month and be sure to photograph a promo basket and its content laid out with brochures, cards and letters of introduction and file the photo and detailed description with the book keeping page that lists when and to whom you sent each one. You need to document your expenses for the IRS and it makes you look like you know what you are doing if you are ever audited or if in future you want to franchise your business.

Set a limit of TEN baskets per profession. For example, after the lawyers assistants, go on to the assistant to the head of a medical or dental firm. Don't forget construction contractors and investment bankers.

Approcah other companies in your area with a sample basket and FOR A PRICE (that defrays your COST by half at least) you will either include their coupons, brochures and cards in an upcoming delivery with a maximum of four companies per basket OR for a fee that is your cost plus cost of delivery ONLY, you will send sample baskets to their client list in town.

This is good business because in the first scenario, four people pay half the cost which means you made a profit and can afford to deliver and smile and put you note card in so people receiving know where to find you too. In the second scenario, you just got a client to pay you to do some tasty sweet marketing at theior cost entirely and you still get to put your card on the basket when you deliver it.
Reply:Try advertising on Cable TV. Be helpful if they had an FYI channel too.
Reply:Take the plunge %26amp; give a few away to some big companies...do trade shows, community gatherings...word of mouth is a good way, but you have to get out there!

I need help naming gift shop, will have balloons and gift baskets.?

i have all types of balloons ,stuff animals ,and do all types of baskets filled up with snacks to bath sets.

I need help naming gift shop, will have balloons and gift baskets.?
How about "Nifty Gifts"?

Definitely DO NOT use any fancy writing that is difficult to read (such as flowery calligraphy) for your signage, gift cards or advertising.

Keep things simple, keep the quality of your product high and you will succeed.

Good Luck and Bless You!!!
Reply:Try to keep it simple and memorable. Look at the stores already around like "Bed Bath %26amp; Beyond, Linens %26amp; Things. Don't name it after yourself. Make sure the name represents what your product line is. Go to some of the web-sites set up to provide domain names. http://www.register.com/retail/index.rcm... (just for ideas)

If you type in a suggested name they come back with many other similiar names for you to choose from. Type some names already taken and maybe you'll get some great ideas. If you decide to eventually add a web-site only use the .com not the .net. Also go through the yellow pages in your state to make sure no one is using the name you eventually select. You can also check with your state for a list of Corporations using the name you choose. It can't be already in use and it can't be similar. Big companies like to sue little companies. Good luck!

hmmm i dunno!? we need more info like your name... or what interests you sorta thing.

What companies sell great Christmas gift baskets?

Whole Foods Markets, if you are lucky enough to have one near you. If not, try Williams Sonoma, either through one of their retail stores (in most major upscale shopping malls) or through their online catalogue. Both have terrific gourmet food products, very superior quality, and packaged very elegantly. In a lower price range but still very nice, how about Harry %26amp; David?

I am getting married in october and i want to put gift baskets together for my out of town guest.what can i do

What kind of baskets could i do and leave at the hotel for my out of town guest?

I am getting married in october and i want to put gift baskets together for my out of town guest.what can i do
I am a wedding officiant and have found that guests really appreciate the little things. A personalized bottle of wine, some m%26amp;m's with your wedding colors. A map of the area so they can branch out on their own. I gift certificate for a dinner or a breakfast somewhere. A picture frame ( they can be found really cheaply at a dollar store)

Of course there are the lotions etc, but to make it really different, make it something from you. Give the basket your personality. For better or worse, they will remember it came from you. There are many web sites that give you ideas.

onewed, wedplan, decidio etc

I wish you many blessings in your upcoming nuptials.
Reply:Things that are locally made or from your state in particular are always nice. Or : Coffee, tea and mugs. Wine and munchies. Sweets. Body products, lotion etc...,

A disposable camera and some tour guide pamphlets for your town and a gift certificate for dinner at a nice place.

Have fun!!
Reply:disposable camera, pocket album, gift certificates for local diner, candy, bag of birdseed for after the wedding, and a thank you for coming card.:)
Reply:get some nice wine flutes and a good bottle of wine!!v
Reply:little soaps and shampoo, lotions, coffee packets and tea bags, and if you can, some slippers or night socks. yes, the room will probably be stiocked with that stuff, but if you can put it into a little basket, that would be cute, and leave a note thanking them for joining you, and maybe a little bottle of champagne
Reply:I'm doing the same thing! This is what I have come up with- we live in a touristy beach area so I've gathered a bunch of "things to fo " booklets- check your Chamber of Commerce or visitor's center, they are free. Trial sized toiletries (I'm going with sunblock, shampoo/conditioner, toothpaste, etc) I am aslo putting some local flowers and a gift certificate for either dinner or an activity (one couple loves golf, so I did a green fee for them both)
Reply:We had our wedding in Las Vegas, and 14 people traveled there to attend. Although I really appreciated them being there, what we did was gave them a box of chocolates made in Vegas, and skipped the baskets-this way, they didn´t have to haul anything home.

Another suggestion is to put a bottle of wine or champaigne in guests rooms-almost everyone drinks a nice bottle, and if not, sparkling water will do.
Reply:lotion, shampoo, conditoner (even though the hotel has it) some candy.
Reply:if your guests will be there for a few days, be sure to include some brochures of things to do around the area, like local parks, resturants, etc. you may want to inclue some toilteries the hotel may not already have in their rooms, or cologne and perfme. put some candy, chocolate, or fruit to fill in the largest part of the basket, and incluie a copy of directions to get from the hotel to the wedding so they won't have to ask anyone in the wedding party who is busy doing other things.
Reply:You could include items that will help them remember the locale (famous local food or gifts, etc), something inscribed with your names and wedding dates, high quality favors (something different from the items you provide at the reception), jewelery, gift cards to a local restaurant if they come in early, or to a national restaurant chain...
