Birthday gift basket theme ideas for my mom?

I am thinking about making a themed gift basket for my mom for her birthday and the only two ideas I have came up with are a pamper yourself basket or a movie night basket. I have some ideas of what to put into each, but just looking for other ideas from you guys on what could go into each basket and also what other basket ideas do you have or have personally done or recieved! Thanks so much

Birthday gift basket theme ideas for my mom?
I just did a movie basket for my cousin. I put in about 3 dvd's. A bowl that said popcorn... 3 bags of popcorn, 3 movie sized treats, 3 of her favorite drinks. I had a bunch of stuff in there all geared to relaxing at home and watching a movie, she really loved it.
Reply:For the movie night, you could get the plastic popcorn container for the basket. Fill it with:

Movie gift card

Favorite Candy

Popcorn

Movie

For the pamper me:

Candles

Loufa (wash puff)

Shower Gel

Lotion

Fingernail polish

Bath salts or fizz

You could do a dinner basket:

buy a cute plate, bowl, cup

then you could buy premade food

such as: cheeseball, chocolate covered strawberries, salad, soup, and so on

Or you could make it yourself

It would just treat her to a nice dinner without cooking
Reply:I did the movie night basket for my sister once. I got a big bowl (for the popcorn) and a variety of popcorn toppings, her favorite movie and a 6 month GC to Netflix and wrapped it up with a comfy throw blanket with a bow. She still raves about it!
Reply:Well, whatever you may decide to get in the end, think of including a handmade portrait or painting of something she may like, etc. Just have the photos or pictures sent to the professional artists at http://www.paintyourlife.com and they will work wonders out of them. You will like it, and so will your friend too, I bet. The service is fast and fairly priced.

They also have a studio for oil paintings reproductions. If you are looking for an affordable gift urgently, you can take a look at their 'stock on sale' at http://www.oil-paintings-reproductions.c...
Reply:1. Cooking stuff, not just ingredients, but a small cookbook, whisk, pretty set of butter knives etc.

2. Random selection of thing (ie: no real purpose) but with a themed pattern, eg: cows (this can include anything that's black and white) or cats and dogs, or whatever she really loves.

3. Crafts, to supplement a sewing kit, with one of those embroidery kits that contains all the bits she'll need, plus additional things like pincushions, bundles of quilt patches, etc.

4. I like the other two ideas you had - esp. the pamper yourself one. I did two of these in the past year; my Mum got one of them and loved it!
Reply:It should be tailored to what you know your mom likes. If she enjoys tea, get some nice teas and special kinds of honey--add a cute mug or teacup. If she enjoys crossword puzzles, for example, add a small book of those in there.

Does she do crafts, like scrapbooking? Get a bunch of cute supplies for that. Music? CDs, an i-tunes gift card, if she's into that.

Yes, a pampering basket is a good idea as well, with nice creams and lotions, maybe a gift certificate for a manicure/pedicure, but only if she would actually go. (My mom never would.) Again, a book by a favorite author would be a nice addition to that kind of basket. If she enjoys cooking, go to a store like Williams-Sonoma and get some cute gadets and special sauces and pasta, etc. Add a cookbook by a favorite TV chef.

You know your mom better than anyone, and you know what she likes. The best gifts are the ones that say, "I know who you are, and I took the time to think about you and what you would like." She will be thrilled.
Reply:You could do a fruit basket or a home made food basket even. You could do a basket based on a hobby of your mum's or i think the movie idea is a great idea and i think you should do that.

You could combine both ideas and do a night in basket with bath salts and face masks and also movie to watch and then you could include slippers or something as well.

My friend did a media basket including magazines, movies, Cd's, books and loads of other stuff and my friends have often done sweet baskets but they re probably not appropriate for n adult. Good luck though and i hope your mum likes it.
Reply:pamper yourself: gift certificate for a massage. Her favorite bath soaps, scrubs, eye masque, nail polish etc.

movies: a favorite movie she doesn't already have, her favorite candy, soda and some heated slippers.

Does she like to garden, play golf? Does she like Betty boop etc.
Reply:I’ll have to suggest www.creanta.com

They do great and affordable hand made paintings from your favorite photograph. What I liked of them is that they at reeeeaally good at capturing the physical likeness. I was very impressed with the results. In addition to portrait paintings they also do paintings of pets, landscapes and anything that means something to you (like your first car, favorite vacation spot, etc). They’re the nicest people… because I was late with her gift they even hand made a custom card to notify my mother that a special gift was coming her way. I highly recommend them.

Best wishes!!
