How to make a gift basket?

I want to make my mil a gift basket for christmas. She loves wine so I though I would make it centered around wine. How do I make everything stay put in the basket and what are some ideas to put in it besides wine?

All the other people have the right idea on things to go with the wine. Just wanted to let you know. If received gift baskets with a glue dot on the bottom of some items to hold them down.
Reply:You could get a great basket, some shredded paper, get some glasses, maybe a cork screw, get something she likes that goes well with wine, maybe some cheeses, grapes, fruits, etc.


then when you put it all together get the srink wrap stuff. You can find it at walmart or target or even dollar stores sometimes. Then just blowdry it so it pulls tight and everything will stay in place. It will hold it.
Reply:Perhaps a book about wine making? Some grapes. SOme wine glasses. Perhaps a nice cheese.


Pack it with some nice straw or similar to keep it in place and still be quite decorative.
Reply:go to the post office or a ups store and they will help you to pack it so the stuff doesn't move...besides you have to get special permission to mail alcohol i believe...as far as ideas for the basket if it is just for her add things that she can pamper herself with like bubble bath, stuff to do a mani and pedi...that was what i did for a friend of mine
Reply:Buy a decent sized basket, take that stirofoam popcorn stuff fill a little more than half of basket, then get some sort of paper stuffing at a craft store its like shreaded colored paper, fill rest of basket you should place wine in middle or bak, you can include a wine opener maybe cheese and crackers or whatever gtoes with the wine.
