Any ideas for a big sister gift basket?

We have a 7 year old daughter and are expecting another girl in June. I wanted to have a balloon boquet with a gift basket sent to our 7 year old when her sister is born. I have a big sister charm for her bracelet and I am going to order a big sister t-shirt, but I thought I should add some other things as well. Maybe some things that aren't related to the baby. Any ideas?

Any ideas for a big sister gift basket?
This such a wonderful idea! I LOVE it! The one thing that came to my mind to add would be get her something that she can do with you and her father, maybe seperately so that she can some alon time with each of you to know that she alone is still very important. MAybe tickets to the circus, or the zoo, or a concert. Maybe an art class for parents and children. Something to have her parents to herself for abit because I'm sure alot of focus will be on the new addition and this will put some on her aswell. Congrats on the new liitle one and again this is a GREAT idea!
Reply:I gave my stepdaughter a cabbage patch doll at my baby shower and when my son was born, my husband bought her a fishing pole and took her fishing before my son and I got home from the hospital.

I would suggest maybe a new box of crayons and a couple coloring books, some sticker sheets, a new book.
Reply:not things for baby, special things for her special qualities, what a wonderful idea, you are a great mom,
Reply:anything that she's into. For instance if she's into arts and crafts get her some little arts and crafts things. Just throw together a basket with the stuff that she enjoys doing.
Reply:How about a cute stuffed animal. Good luck and congratulations:)
Reply:dolls toys whatever she likes [[congrats!]]
Reply:go to build-a-bear give her a gift card in the basket and then take her before the baby is born so she can pick it out
Reply:a picture frame that says sisters would be cute

How about some movies/popcorn/candy for movie night when you are busy with the baby. Also a coupon for a mommy and me day for when your up to it..

Congrats...by the way great idea!
Reply:i dont know if you have something like this where you are from but there is a company called A Pink Gorrilla. check out the website

Reply:First of all Congratulations!!! If you don't want it to be related to the baby,, girls always love flowers, maybe some carnations. How about a cute picture frame to put a new pic of her and the baby in? Chocolate? I would celebrate the birth of the baby with your 7 yr.old and have her participate.... I think giving her a gift basket is a great idea,,, but I personally would have gift related to the baby more so than not. You want her to feel she's a part of the celebration ,,not a celebration for her necessarily. Love the big sis charm bracelet and the shirt!!!
Reply:Wouldn't it be great if the basket was a little more useful to her, too? What if you fill a new purse with a few things. My niece loves her little pink Vera Bradley. She feels so grown up! Also, you could add something that would be special to her and her sister later. I love the picture frame idea ... you could get one with "Sisters" written on it and she could put her first visit pic holding little sis in it.
