What kind of baskets could i do and leave at the hotel for my out of town guest?
I am getting married in october and i want to put gift baskets together for my out of town guest.what can i do
I am a wedding officiant and have found that guests really appreciate the little things. A personalized bottle of wine, some m%26amp;m's with your wedding colors. A map of the area so they can branch out on their own. I gift certificate for a dinner or a breakfast somewhere. A picture frame ( they can be found really cheaply at a dollar store)
Of course there are the lotions etc, but to make it really different, make it something from you. Give the basket your personality. For better or worse, they will remember it came from you. There are many web sites that give you ideas.
onewed, wedplan, decidio etc
I wish you many blessings in your upcoming nuptials.
Reply:Things that are locally made or from your state in particular are always nice. Or : Coffee, tea and mugs. Wine and munchies. Sweets. Body products, lotion etc...,
A disposable camera and some tour guide pamphlets for your town and a gift certificate for dinner at a nice place.
Have fun!!
Reply:disposable camera, pocket album, gift certificates for local diner, candy, bag of birdseed for after the wedding, and a thank you for coming card.:)
Reply:get some nice wine flutes and a good bottle of wine!!v
Reply:little soaps and shampoo, lotions, coffee packets and tea bags, and if you can, some slippers or night socks. yes, the room will probably be stiocked with that stuff, but if you can put it into a little basket, that would be cute, and leave a note thanking them for joining you, and maybe a little bottle of champagne
Reply:I'm doing the same thing! This is what I have come up with- we live in a touristy beach area so I've gathered a bunch of "things to fo " booklets- check your Chamber of Commerce or visitor's center, they are free. Trial sized toiletries (I'm going with sunblock, shampoo/conditioner, toothpaste, etc) I am aslo putting some local flowers and a gift certificate for either dinner or an activity (one couple loves golf, so I did a green fee for them both)
Reply:We had our wedding in Las Vegas, and 14 people traveled there to attend. Although I really appreciated them being there, what we did was gave them a box of chocolates made in Vegas, and skipped the baskets-this way, they didn´t have to haul anything home.
Another suggestion is to put a bottle of wine or champaigne in guests rooms-almost everyone drinks a nice bottle, and if not, sparkling water will do.
Reply:lotion, shampoo, conditoner (even though the hotel has it) some candy.
Reply:if your guests will be there for a few days, be sure to include some brochures of things to do around the area, like local parks, resturants, etc. you may want to inclue some toilteries the hotel may not already have in their rooms, or cologne and perfme. put some candy, chocolate, or fruit to fill in the largest part of the basket, and incluie a copy of directions to get from the hotel to the wedding so they won't have to ask anyone in the wedding party who is busy doing other things.
Reply:You could include items that will help them remember the locale (famous local food or gifts, etc), something inscribed with your names and wedding dates, high quality favors (something different from the items you provide at the reception), jewelery, gift cards to a local restaurant if they come in early, or to a national restaurant chain...
