Send a small gift basket addressed to the assistant to the senior partner of....every other law firm in your phone book. So, if the firm is named "smith, smith and jones attorneys at law" you address the basket to THE ASSISTANT TO ATTY SMITH. Let them fight out which smith it was sent to!

Make sure you only have one brief letter of introduction folded witrh infor facin out, a brochure stlye, Announcing a new local business with YOU and YOUR needs in mind......located...open...fax phone and email address.....price list available.....when you don't have time to shop but you need to show you care like you have time for nothing else......

several cards. a coupon for a little off AND a pair of slippers, packs of cocoa and coffee and chocolate, a muffin or a cookie sample but keep it chocolate or coffee flavored and lots of curly ribbons to make it look rich.

Have it delivered by someone other than yourself, looking professional and carrying a clipboard. I know it sounds stupid but this works.

It starts a buzz in a close knit community and puts your card, your sample product in the hands of people who can afford it and have NO time to shop.

You can't do this all at once but maybe you set a total limit of promos a month and be sure to photograph a promo basket and its content laid out with brochures, cards and letters of introduction and file the photo and detailed description with the book keeping page that lists when and to whom you sent each one. You need to document your expenses for the IRS and it makes you look like you know what you are doing if you are ever audited or if in future you want to franchise your business.

Set a limit of TEN baskets per profession. For example, after the lawyers assistants, go on to the assistant to the head of a medical or dental firm. Don't forget construction contractors and investment bankers.

Approcah other companies in your area with a sample basket and FOR A PRICE (that defrays your COST by half at least) you will either include their coupons, brochures and cards in an upcoming delivery with a maximum of four companies per basket OR for a fee that is your cost plus cost of delivery ONLY, you will send sample baskets to their client list in town.

This is good business because in the first scenario, four people pay half the cost which means you made a profit and can afford to deliver and smile and put you note card in so people receiving know where to find you too. In the second scenario, you just got a client to pay you to do some tasty sweet marketing at theior cost entirely and you still get to put your card on the basket when you deliver it.
Reply:Try advertising on Cable TV. Be helpful if they had an FYI channel too.
Reply:Take the plunge %26amp; give a few away to some big companies...do trade shows, community gatherings...word of mouth is a good way, but you have to get out there!
