I have been dating a guy for a few months- I am geting him a nice red wine and would like to incorporate in a gift basket for his birthday with 2 wine glasses and some other items- any suggestions?
What type of gift to give new beau? (will be in basket with wine)?
All of the cheese and cracker or chocolate truffle ideas are good, if you are looking for more of a gift than a picnic, you could try candles, and a CD, if you know his type of music choose that, otherwise maybe a new jazz CD, something you guys could listen to while you sip your wine.
Reply:cheese and crackers go great with wine as well as maybe a book you can read together and go to the park with the basket and a blanket. Some candles and if you have been intimate maybe a pair of sexy panties (for you) to wear for him.
Reply:I would suggest cheese that would compliment the red wine such as aged Cheddar (Vermont or Wisconsin) and Maytag Blue. Water crackers would be good, but Melba toast would work as well. A small cutting board and a cheese knife might fit in very well here. A small summer sausage or hard salami to go with the cheese. And chocolate truffles to make your picnic with your new beau complete...
Reply:something you two enjoy doing together perhaps
Movie tickets or whatever you two have in common put in the basket.
Or make up some of your own "special coupons" put them in a book form and he can tear them out and use them whenever he likes - for example "this coupon is good for one free massage "
this coupon is good for ______________ fill in the blank with whatever he might like and you would not mind doing with him or for him
Good luck and enjoy!
Reply:how about a coupon for something romantic, like a 15 minute kiss, to use while the wine is breathing,. maybe include a wine opener and some candles.
Reply:If he's into sports, a shirt with team name, %26amp; a nice smelling men's cologne.
Reply:I would add a nice brie and Carr's crackers. Then you can go on a picnic!
Reply:Absolutely. Try a nice French soft cheese like brie, which when eaten isn't too pungeant. Also include a box of Carr's water crackers--try the plain ones first before you experiment with varieties. I further suggest a bottle of beaujolais, which is a nice, red French table wine which is very affordable (about $7). Be sure to have an opener handy! Be sure the glasses are for RED wine and not WHITE. All of these things will make you seem (if you are not already) very cultured, appreciative of fine things, and a romantic. Keep the contents simple and the message will be simple too: I dig you!
