I want to start a gift basket business and dint know were to start!?
I have my own home based business making all natural soy candles. I make custom gift baskets for all occasions. I wholesale, retail and do fundraisers. If you would like more information about starting your own home based business then take a look at my website. Of course because of your age your parents would be the ones to sign up but you could still help making candles and gift baskets.

Reply:Caleb, the little 9 year old business man. From

the day his Mom received her first order, he has been out selling candles. He's learning quite a bit about economics and business (we just have to work on the money management part). He doesn't fear approaching people about our candles. He takes his supplies and knocks on people's doors and says "Do you like Fresh Scents?". I guess he uses the phrase "Fresh Scents" instead of scented candles because that's our business name. He said that the people like it when he says that. He hired himself an employee to walk around with him and help him out. He has also inspired a few other kids that we know to sell our products also.

One day the three of them went out to sort of compete. It was so cute, they would come busting through the door, money in hand. They would give me the customer's money and then they would get paid right on the spot and back out the door they go. One of his friends is trying to get her mom to sign up for Candle Of The Month so that she (the 9 yr old) can sell candles all the time.

Caleb has been a real encouragement to others. Any fears

anyone has of rejection they need to put aside because they see him so fearlessly go out there and work a business. Besides that, he's running running side by side in sales with his Mom. Nothing wrong with some good healthy competition. He's a real go-getter. In fact, the other day he was all ready to go out and make some sales and I had to stop him because it was raining and his supplies would have gotten soaked. Then another time his Dad turned around to hand him his dinner and he was gone. They knew, of course,

where he was. A lady had asked him to come back after six and he wanted to keep his word.

Everyone is really proud of Caleb and how he's not afraid of what other boys in the neighborhood might think of him. He knows that we have great products and that everyone loves candles - men, women and children. He knows that it's a huge market and he has found a way to benefit from it, in more ways than just money.

Reply:You will need money to make a basket to be able to sell. Maybe you should start by figuring out how you will pay for your business until your business starts paying you.
