Any ideas what to put in a Margarita themed gift basket besides margarita mix and glasses?

I got one of these before and included were a set of green margarita classes that had cactus shaped handles on them. Also some salt for the rims. The glasses can be found at the Beverages and more website (http://www.bevmo.com), or the direct link to them on that site is http://www.bevmo.com/productinfo.asp?sku... You can also get colored salts at the same site for only $1.99.

You might also want to include a pitcher for serving the margaritas.

Goodies from Goodman sells a cool Margarita Gift Box at http://www.goodiesfromgoodman.com/GiftIt... which includes jelly beans, taffy, and other candy, tortilla chips and salsa.

Some fun cocktail napkins might add some excitement. You can find some real interesting ones at Cooks Corner - http://www.cookscorner.com/cookscorner/d...

Another idea might be to throw some re-usable ice cubes in there. You can find those at homebargear.com - http://www.homebargear.com/site/747816/p...

A resuable camera might be fun to take pictures of all the people having a great time enjoying their margaritas!

Enjoy!

Any ideas what to put in a Margarita themed gift basket besides margarita mix and glasses?
a bartender book, glass charms, cd's
Reply:How bout some sea salt or that big salt they put around the rims and some lemon or lime. If you want to get really goofy get the little umbrellas. Find some little mexican knick knacks or something with a drink theme
Reply:limes 2 kinds of teq. repisado and anjaho
Reply:SALT
Reply:check out this site

http://www.elpasochile.com/
Reply:I would add a "coupon" where you would offer to cook a nice dinner to go with the margaritas...
Reply:garders for the glasses
Reply:A nice flamenco or samba CD.
Reply:If you're a guy and it's for a girl that's special to you, put in something sexy. May I suggest a thong?

If it's for a good friend of yours, put in his or hers favorite magazines. For them, nothing would be more relaxing than drinking those margaritas while laying or sitting somewhere reading those magazines.

I don't drink, so if the basket's for me, skip the margaritas and fill it up with Diet Cherry Cokes. They are practically non existent where I live.
Reply:Oranges and limes, tequila and triple sec, salt, some salsa and chips, sunglasses and shotglasses
Reply:A sombrero, a good quality tequila like Don Julio or Jose Cuervo, rock salt, lemons and limes, a margarita recipe, and how about some chips and salsa to go with the margaritas.
Reply:Cute idea! I would add salt (you can buy the kind in a circular bowl to easily rim the glasses) and some Mexican foods, like a taco dip mix, chips, jarred salsa and guacamole. Maybe even a maraca or cute Mexican hat (sombrero).
Reply:shaker, salt , mini umbrellas, tequila....
Reply:Tequila, salt, limes, chips, and salsa. Maybe even a gift certificate to a local Mexican restaurant.
Reply:how about tequila?? - a couple of limes will be nice too and make your basket look a little nicer. There are some colored salts that could go in too if you want to go that far.

Tequila - Preferably a good one - Jose Quervo will suffice.
Reply:How about an umbrella and a flamingo or a gift certificate sumwhere like a rly nice bar
Reply:chilly salt and sugar to rim the glasses. Make sure the margarita mix is the "master of mixes" its the best. Also a couple of pillow packs of alka seltzer, frozen croissants and creme cheese for the hangover in the morning. Shaker, tequila, triple sec and mint sticks.
Reply:little plastic fruit, fish, umbrellas, colored napkins, beads, anything festive and colorful.
Reply:salt. Add a few drops of coloring to salt, mix well, let it dry. You can do different colors with several batches and then put them into individual salt shakers/small jars.
Reply:I dont know anything about margaritas cuz I'm not old enough to have one lol but arent they connected with mexican culture? You could put a little mexico flag or a sombrero....you could put salt (margaritas have salt right) omg I feel like such a dork now that I realized I dont truly remember what a margarita is. Anyway, you could put in a recipe book, too because can't you make different kinds? OOh put aspirin in it, like for the hangover the next day haha
Reply:Limes, tequilla, salt, a sombraro
Reply:salt, gift cards to a good mexican resturant, and tequilla would be nice yumm
Reply:Roses lime juice.....a glass rimmer....coarse salt....a mixed cd with appropriate songs (think Jimmy Buffet)...some salsa and chips....a mexican cook book....
Reply:Those wide brimmed glasses with the cactus on the stems, and Mexican style "wine" charms so folks can tell their glasses apart.
Reply:Other additions maybe:

-tequila

-margarita salt

-fresh celantro

-fresh limes or lemons

-a CD with Mexican/Spanish music

-nacho chips (not the cheap one, get the good ones)

-gourd maracas

all this is a great fiesta coloured bowl. check out this site under "Ole Fiesta."
Reply:Salt and atificial ice cubes. ASPRIN in case of a head ache
Reply:rum
Reply:Salt, limes, lemons, shot glass, shaker, juicer
Reply:Want something fun and special? Buy a burro pinata and a straw sombrero placed upside down on top. Line the inside with a colorful table scarf and add the drink mix, the glasses, colorful bowls, dip mixes for various Mexican dips, gourmet taco chips (lime chili?), a jar of jalapeno olives, various jars of salsa, a CD of salsa music, and maybe a string of colorful lights to hang on deck of back porch. Instant party.
