We are taking them to an assisted living center. These people have their own apartments. They are able to take care of themselves with a little assistance. Any ideas?
My MOPS group is making gift baskets for the elderly. I signed up to make one for a man. Any ideas?
socks, small bottle of after shave, stationary, home baked treats if he isn't diabetic,Chex mix if he is,fresh fruit, Comb, Kleenex, Large print puzzle books, Large print playing cards, Hankies, depends on how much money your group has, flannel shirt, slippers, sweatshirt. Older folks are usually cold, and like these items. You are doing a wonderfull thing. I work in a nursing home and the folks there appreciate even a kleenex box wrapped up.
Reply:coffee, chocolate, a cute Christmas card. Maybe a gift card too.
Reply:Snacks like nuts, candy etc. You could always make cookies.
Reply:How about some good coffee or hot chocolate? A cool coffee mug. Good snacks like cheese %26amp; crackers, chocolate.
Reply:Maybe since he lives on his own, a easy cookbook. And if you have children, have your children write him or color him a christmas card , you never know if he'll be spending christmas alone.
Reply:I would say a variety of candies and foods. he may be on a special diet, so get low fat or whatever food for old people. you could go with slippers, but he probably has 20 pairs by now. maybe some sweaters? or new socks? a nice blanket? a coffin? some books, general fiction. do you know anything about the person, or is it just random? porn? money? gloves and hat? mens lotion? well, you can't go wrong with toilet paper. $20 worth of toilet paper.
