what to put in them and also I'd like to have some cool ideas for filler, not just fancy paper. Useful filler would be neat. I'd like to make baskets for people on my list for Christmas. Thank you, I'm sure all suggestions would be used!!
Can you give me an idea for gift baskets?
I love giving gift baskets!! Depending on the basket, fillers can be table cloths, napkins, towels, gloves and mittens, a scarf etc. If you want something "fluffy" try curling strips of colorful curling ribbon.
Gift Ideas:
Movie buff: DVD's, popcorn, movie tickets, boxed candies.
Newly Weds: Wine, wine glasses, candles, table cloth, romantic cd, cheese and crackers
Reader: Book marks, mini book light, books or book store gift certificate, journal.
Knitter: Knitting magazine, needle case, pretty yarns
Sports fan: Sweatshirt or t-shirt with their favorite team logo, coffee or beer mugs with team logo. Tickets to a game.
Person who has everything: Food basket with all the junk food they like. Candy, nuts, sausage and cheese, smoked oysters, olives.
The possibilities are endless.
Reply:I'm going to make several little baskets for the ladies I work with. I'm going to get little soaps and lotions from Bath and Body to put in them. I also have a cute Christmas dish cloth to put in each. I will probably put in a little candle from Yankee Candles and candy canes. I may wrap them in the colorful cellophane paper with a bow.
Reply:Personal care gift baskets are nice. For a woman, fill with bath supplies,lotions,deodorant,powder,anythi... you would use for yourself! You could put a nice fluffy towel on the bottom, and some face cloths for filler.
A nice food basket. Do a pasta one.Pasta, sauce ,good,Parmesan cheese, bottle of wine, wine glasses and use cloth napkins for filler.
Baby basket.Fill with things you would need to take care of the infant. A can of infant formula(make sure to find out the exact kind the baby uses!),lotion, diapers,a little toy, wipes, and a soft little blanket.
I could go on and on the list is endless.
Merry Christmas to you and yours
Reply:The answer above is great.
My favourite one is a 'Pamper pack', It contains fragrant candles, bubble bath, bath salts, bath oil, special fruit soaps, a sponge and an oil burner with oil. It is not an expensive one to put together for a female.
For a guy, I make one filled with varieties of home made biscuits, sweets, a couple of cans of soft drink and alcohol if the person is of legal drinking age.
Hope you have fun making your baskets.
Have a great Christmas.
Reply:Obviously you know the person pretty well if you are going to buy a present so you know their likes. Some of my favorite gift basket ideas are bath products (loofla, bath pillow, bath salts, bubble bath, shower gel, lotion, etc). Another is a foot care basket (clippers, pumis, scraper, file, foot cream, etc) A coffee or tea basket is nice too. Assorted flavors of coffee come in small packs so your friend could enjoy several flavors. Teas also come in assorted flavors. A mug or two would also be nice in either basket. A baking basket( muffin tins, homemade baggged muffin and/or cake and/or cookie mix with instructions.
Reply:i usually do one for my niece, shes 16 this year, instead of a gift "basket" i use a oversized purse (just her style anyway) %26amp; fill with costume jewelry, make up- glosses, eye shadows, stuff like that... purfume, a head band, nail polishes... you can find all that really cheap %26amp; trial sized purfumes for near nothing... its really cool to see that its a gift she actually likes! =)
For a woman at any age, pampering stuff you usually wouldnt buy yourself (lotions, foot scrubs, exfoliating cream, a gift certificate for a pedi/mani, cd)
For a man, maybe cologne, nail clippers, a cd, socks, fishing hooks, cards, dominos, pocket knife, wallet, gloves, tie, the possibilitys are endless, it just depends on his interests... dont overlook the small things, thats sometimes what ppl notice the most...
