I would like to start making gift baskets ,what are some ideas to make them different from the average basket?

I would like to start making them and need help on some ideas. All the baskets i see all look the same . I want people to see them and say "this is unique and pretty".I'm walking by faith on this one.

If you can't come up with your own 'truly unique' baskets, I wouldn't recommend you start your own business. If anyone here had something really special, we'd be doing it ourselves. No one is going to give you any ideas, that haven't all ready been done. You'll have to do that thinking for yourself. That's how small business start...with an idea YOU thought of.
Reply:I saw one company on the Food Channel that makes "baskets" using round waste baskets with a lot of old-style stickers on them. Then they pick unusual old-style candy bars (not stale ones - classic ones) and pile them in to stand up very tall and secure it with a tall plastic wrap. They were good enough that they go into Oscar-presenter style gift packs.
Reply:I have always wanted a "crafting" gift basket....one that has different crafty things in it...like a candle making basket or soap making...with different molds and things for that...I have never found any like that....
Reply:Make "Romance Baskets" here's what will go in them:

Scented bath oils, beads, crystals, etc

Scented lotions, powders.

Heart shaped soaps

Romantic music CD's and romantic movie DVD's.

Bottle of champagne or sparkling cider

Scented candles

Condoms and small sex toys

Chocolates

Restaurant Gift cards for romantic dinner for two.

Rose Petals
Reply:hmm for business...maybe put some card holders, pens, notepads...hehe
Reply:I you have an order for a specific client, find out their likes, and if they collect anything. Such as dog lovers would love some dog themed stuff.

A scrapbooker, a nurse, a bride, a honeymooner, etc.

Some specific things to hook a client.

Oh! a fisherman!--lures, roll of line, hat, you get it!
